- We are excited to announce that the Spring Semester for the afterschool chess club will begin on January 27th. To register, please visit the following link: Chess Program Registration. The club is open to grades k-8. There is a fee to participate in the afterschool chess program.
- Any K-8 students enrolled at Charlotte Lab will have the opportunity to represent Charlotte Lab at various chess tournaments (even if not part of the afterschool program). A list of upcoming events for this school year can be found here: Tournament Schedule. We will continue to update this calendar as the year progresses. To represent Charlotte Lab at a tournament, simply register under "Charlotte Lab" for team events and ensure that your student is wearing a Charlotte Lab T-shirt or hoodie. - We are excited to announce that Chess is now offered as a competitive sport for students in grades 4 through 8 at Charlotte Lab School. If your student is interested in joining the Chess Team, please contact Mr. Myers at [email protected] for more details.
- February 1st, Charlotte Lab School will host its inaugural PAC 7 Chess Championship in our new building. This tournament will be open exclusively to students in grades 4-8.
