Hello, Lab families and Happy February!
We have some exciting events coming up this month and further into the quarter, and we can’t wait to share them with you! These events are not possible without your support, so we’re also looking for volunteers to help us make them a success.
Here’s what’s on the calendar:
π Multicultural Night – Tuesday, February 13thCelebrate the many cultures that make our school special! We’re looking for families to host tables and share their traditions, whether through food, art, music, or displays. π Sign up to host a table here π
π Lower School Gala (Grades K-4) – Friday, February 28th We’re rolling out the red carpet for a night of fun at the Sheraton Le Meridien, Carolina Ballroom!
K & 1st Grade: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM 2nd - 4th Grade: 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM Tickets: $5/child, $1/adult (adult ticket goes towards parking)
π Coming in March:
- Staff Vs. Student Basketball Game - Friday, March 21st
Save the date for the upcoming Lab Staff vs. Student Basketball Game. The game will take place on 3/21 at the Stratford YMCA. More details to come and if there are any families interested in helping, contact [email protected] directly.
- Spring Book Fair – Week of March 24th
Our Book Fair is back for round 2 this school year! Stay tuned for details, but mark your calendars as we’ll need parent volunteers to help run the fair and assist students.
- Middle School Dance (Grades 5-8) – Friday, March 28th
More details to come, but mark your calendars now! Middle School parents, we need your support!
π Prom (11th & 12th Grade) πΊ
Prom will be here before we know it! Mark your calendars for April 25th and keep an eye out for more info to come. To ensure this is a night to remember for our 11th and 12th graders, Lab needs your help! If you are interested in helping with Prom planning, please reach out to Melissa Summers directly at [email protected].
π¨ Field Day in June
It may seem far away, but Field Day will be here before we know it! We’re already planning for this high-energy event and will need plenty of parent volunteers. If you are interested in joining the planning committee for Field Day, please email [email protected] today!

Put on your best party attire and join us for a magical evening at the Lower School Gala! Get ready to dance the night away under sparkling lights, create unforgettable memories, and celebrate with friends.

Teacher Appreciation Week Donation Collection for Lab Staff
The Lab PTSO is coordinating a donation collection for our teachers and administrators to host special Teacher Appreciation Week activities. Since every staff member plays an equally important role in the success of our school, all money collected will be equitably split among faculty (based on full or part time status).
