Cierra Townson
Cierra graduated from Clemson University with a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in Psychology, as well as an M.Ed. and Ed.S. in Counselor Education. While she earned her degrees, she worked for Clemson Libraries. She then supported an ADA Accessibility Coordinator as she completed her graduate education. Her experiences then led her to work as a High School Counselor in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools before joining the Charlotte Lab team!
Cierra has always enjoyed working with adolescents and young adults in all of her roles, whether as a research support, supervisor, trainer, mentor, counselor, or adviser. She seeks to merge these diverse experiences into a robust counseling program that serves the students at CLS to fulfill their academic, social-emotional, and career/college goals.
Although she is passionate about the work that she does at Lab, she takes time to settle into her quiet lifestyle. You may find Cierra enjoying an afternoon walking and gaming; adventuring a new trail or propagating some plants on the weekend; or spending quality time with her friends, family, and very dapper tuxedo cat.
