Elizabeth LaRue

My name is Elizabeth LaRue and I am so excited to join the team here at Charlotte Lab for my 11th year teaching. I am originally from Syracuse, NY and graduated from SUNY Cortland with my Bachelors in Childhood Education. I have lived in Brooklyn, Raleigh, and Charlotte teaching grades 3-6 in all subject areas. I am very happy to be teaching 4th grade math this year, since 4th grade and the subject math both hold a special place in my heart. 

I have 3 wild and beautiful children that I get to raise and they keep me busy when I’m not at school. Some things I enjoy doing in my spare time are listen to music and dance, watch a good show while eating popcorn and thrift shopping. A few fun facts about myself are: I love all things fashion; I did gymnastics competitively growing up; and my favorite place to be is the beach.

This year is going to be great! I love what I get to do and I love challenging young minds to be better, think deeper, and get creative in taking ownership of their learning.
