Sarah Beth Spears
Sarah Beth Spears recently relocated to the Charlotte area from South Carolina, where she taught middle school Moderate-Severe Special Education. She earned her Bachelor’s in Special Education K-12 Multi-Categorical from Coastal Carolina University. In 2023, Sarah Beth was recognized as the Rookie Teacher of the Year by her previous school district. In 2024, she had the honor of being the Keynote Speaker at the South Carolina Council for Exceptional Children conference, where she shared her own experiences in overcoming adversity through resiliency.
As a passionate advocate for inclusive and equitable education, Sarah Beth is excited to contribute to the mission of the Charlotte Lab School. Her teaching philosophy centers around hands-on learning and the empowerment of students, ensuring they feel motivated, valued, and confident within and beyond the classroom. Outside of the classroom, Sarah Beth draws inspiration from her love of arts and crafts, spending time in nature, and exploring new destinations. Having traveled to 20 countries so far, she continues to embrace new experiences and adventures.
