Cara Gabriel
Cara Gabriel is excited to join the Charlotte Lab Family this year. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Cara has spent over eight years living abroad in New Zealand, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. After returning to America, she moved to Charlotte. This year begins her eighth year of teaching.
Cara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art from Malone University and a Master of Arts in English Language Teaching from Nottingham Trent University in the UK. She has six years of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language in South Korea, working with learners from three years old to adults. Most of her educational experience comes from being an English immersion elementary school teacher, where she helped students with little to no English skills become confident and capable in reading, writing, and speaking English. Cara is dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and engaging classroom and is passionate about fostering a global perspective in her students.
In her free time, Cara enjoys reading, painting, singing, and traveling. She is also a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, Korean dramas, and exploring different cuisines from around the world.
