Kiara Lee

Hello, Charlotte Lab School community! I’m Kiara Lee, and I’m thrilled to join this amazing team. I’m passionate about reading and writing, and I’ve even penned my own fiction novel. I also host a blog and podcast called "Opened Heart," where I explore various creative and thought-provoking topics.

My academic journey took me to Full Sail University, where I earned my Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, and to UNCC, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Journalism. I pride myself on having a unique personality and style, always thinking outside the box and embracing creativity in all its forms.

I believe in the power of daily reading—it’s a gateway to endless learning and mental enrichment. My background includes working at the YMCA Summer Day Camp and Drop-in Care Center, as well as serving as a substitute teacher for CMS K-12. Additionally, I’ve provided tutoring for K-5 students, helping to enhance their comprehension and academic performance through personalized attention and interactive activities.

I’m deeply passionate about shaping young minds and inspiring the next generation. My goal is to make meaningful, even if small, changes in the lives of every student I encounter. Here’s to an exciting and impactful 2024-2025 school year!
