Melissa Hamilton

My name is Melissa Hamilton. I am originally from Georgetown, Guyana, but I have spent much of my life in Brooklyn, NY. I am a mother of five children, three boys and two girls, who I love to the moon and back. I also have a fur baby named Bentley who just turned 3 years old. My eldest son is a U.S. Marine.

 

My eldest daughter is starting her second year of college, and my twin boys will be starting their freshman year. My youngest daughter will be starting 3rd grade here at Charlotte Lab. I received my undergraduate degree from Touro college in New York in 2006. My family and I moved to Charlotte in the summer of 2007. I received my Masters degree in K-5 Education and 6-9 Language Arts and Social Studies from University of Phoenix in 2009.

I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and reading any and everything. I love teaching, and watching my students enjoy learning.
