Joel Shiverdecker
Passionate about working with children, Joel has served as an EC teacher assistant for many years with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and is now excited to bring that passion to Charlotte Lab School.
A devoted family man, Joel is married to his high school sweetheart and is the proud father of two. His daughter also works in education as an elementary teacher, and his son is the outreach director at a local church. Originally from Ohio, Joel relocated to Charlotte in 2006 and has called it home ever since.
In his free time, Joel enjoys spending quality time with his family, going on long walks to explore the outdoors, attending sporting events, and relaxing with his favorite TV shows or movies.
